Outing to Marina Sq with Angie YiYi
As Daddie was working last sunday, Mummie decided to bring BB out for a shopping session with Angie Yiyi.
The initial plan was to buy some clothes for BB at Fox Babies, but the price is quite expensive. So end up, we did not get anything for BB. But BB did enjoyed the outing.Spent his time looking around curiously. He is so curious just about everything.
He is getting naughty now. He seldoms naps now. Granny is quite mad about it. Heehee. She does not have time. She either have to carry him, or play with him or bring him downstairs.
As he doesn't nap that long in the morning and afternoon, he sleeps quite early in the night now. His bedtime is between 8.30 to 9pm now. As he is too tired, he cannot even finish his milk. Yesterday, he set a new record by drinking only 75ml of milk at his bedtime. We are not too concerned about him not drinking cos he has alot of reserves.. heehee

4th Month Injection
We brought BB to Doc Ng's clinic on 20th May for his 4th month injection. Duno whether issit BB does not want to go for the jab, he actually sleep until 9+ oso dun 1 to wake up. His usual waking up time is 7+ am. We had to wake him up by talking loudly in the room.But anyway we still managed to make it in time for the injection.
As usual, the nurse will take his weight, length and temp 1st. If he has a temp or not feeling well, he is not allowed to take the jab. His weight is now 8.6kg. His length is 64cm. Not too bad. We think he knows what pain is now. Cos when the Doc injects the medicine into him, he started wailing. Poor Mummy have to distract BB with rattles and Elmo toy while Daddy carries him. The nurse suggested us to apply a pain relief cream next time before the injection. But we have to go slightly earlier as the cream will take about 15mins to be effective. It cost only $3 to relieve the pain, why not.
Granny has specifically requested us to check with Doc whether BB is ready for solids now. But according to Doc, no hurry to start solids as Mummy has allergy to certain food and medication. The chances of BB developing allergy is 20-40%. Hence he recommended us to start solids after 6 months. Not critical to start solids cos BB is drinking and growing well.
We also checked with the Doc whether it is ok to start putting BB in the walker. His suggestion was that, the walker will not faster/enable the BB to walk faster. But chinese being chinese, we always have this thinking that walker will help, so up to individuals.
Mummy asked Doc a stupid question.. heehee. Is BB's head too heavy? We find that his head is not very stable/firm yet even at 4 months. And this inability to lift his head also caused BB to have rashes around his neck. So Doc carried him up and said : Look, i carried him by the shoulders, look at his neck. No problem. His neck will be firm soon.
Mummy also asked if BB is obese. BB's weight percentile is around 90%, but Doc said BB will adjust their drinking pattern if they have too much reserve in their bodies. They are engineered to adjust. Heehee so farnie.. like robot hor.
Doc checked if Mummy or Daddie was overweight during the BB days. Cos if either 1 was overweight, got high chance that BB will be overweight as well. But Mummy only became plump when she reached primary school, so how? So confused. Nevermind, when BB is 6 months old, we will bring him to swim. Hopefully he will not grow too big.
