Long Awaited updates

opps.. i know i promised to update BB Caleb's blog regularly but haiz.. simply too tired to do so.
Anyway i will update as and when i can okie.

BB Caleb is now able to bring both hands together already, like gong-xi gong-xi. Heehee come CNY, when he do this he will have many ang pows from all the aunties. This is another milestone for him.

His neck is now very steady already. We are able to hold him by the shoulders and lift him up. Heehee we like to carry him and lift him to the air, he lurvess it very much. Can hear his laughter when we play this 'lifting game' with him.

At this stage, he is also trying to turn. But his hand is blocked so he cannot do a turn yet. Give him another 2 more weeks, he should be able to turn already.

Btw, he likes to shout for attention now. Wow, his voice is very loud. His dan tian is very good, i think just like Mummie.My parents very kua zhang. They claimed that BB is able to say 'neh neh' when he wants to drink milk. Its a coincidence that he is talking baby language.

Oh yes, he has a colourful toy worm from Tinylove. He adores it, probably due to its bright colours.I will recite..Dian Cong Cong, Cong Cong fei, he laughs.

Oh yes, brought him to Uncle Ray and Aunty Candice's place yesterday. He was very well behaved. We thought he liked their place vey much cos he was able to sleep there. 1 wicked idea came up our mind. Next time we will bring him to their place to take naps heehee.

Feeding Gone Haywire ??

*Yawnz* After the jab on 18th Apr, BB Caleb's sleeping hours and feeding become abit haywire. Previously, his bedtime is from 9.30apm to about 4am. Then he will wake up for his milk. But for the past 2 days, he is waking up much earlier. Today is the worse. He woke up at 1.30am and 6.20am for his milk. Wah totally shack out man. My colleague said we can try to wake BB at about 11pm for another feed. We will try it out tonight.. update u guys on the situation again

Brought BB to the PD for this 1st time on 18th Apr. Did some assessment on his development too. Weight @ 3 months is 7.04kg. He is 61cm long, with a head circumference of 40cm.
During the visit to PD, BB Caleb poo poo there.If poo was not enough, he also peed, not onto the pampers but onto the floor.. so paiseh.. quickly clean up the mess.
B4 we went, Daddie Keith & Caleb Mummie already prepared some questions to bombard the poor PD.. heehee...

Questions Prepared
1. How much milk should BB drink?
Ans: based on calculation, he should be drinking 170ml..Since BB is drinking abt 200ml, we can confirm that we are not starving him.. hahahahaaa

2. BB's poo are sometimes green in colour, is it normal?
Ans: yes. This is because FM (Formula Milk) contains iron which will cause the poo to be greenish. No need to be alarmed.

3. What is rotavirus vaccination for ? Is it necessary?
Ans: Rotavirus is the most common cause of severe, dehydrating diarrhea among children worldwide. Children six months to two years of age are most vulnerable. This is actually more applicable to children in poor countries. This is because of poort hygiene as well as malnutrition. Since in Singapore, parents are usually very particular about bb's cleanliness, hence this vaccination is not really necessary.

Dr Ng is very nice. He filled us in with additional info on pneumococcal disease.
It is a bacterial pathogen that affects children and adults worldwide.Most likely, BB Caleb will be getting this vaccination, but only when he is 6months old. The no of injections will be lesser.

Birth Story of BB Caleb:

16th Jan @ 11pm -Mummie was admitted to Thomson Medical Centre

17th Jan @ 9am - Mummie went down to the waiting delivery suite. Did not have breakfast only a cup of Milo. Nurse pumped the medicine for Mummie to clear her poopoo

17th Jan @ 10am - Doc Yvonne came and check. Put Mummie on drip and burst the water bag. OUCH!!!! Mummie was only 2cm dilated. Pain started coming in.

17th Jan @ 12noon - Intese contraction pain is coming in. Mummie had to rely on laughing gas for pain relief. Mummie refused to consider epidural

17th Jan @ 2pm - Doc Yvonne did a VE for Mummie.. still only 2cm dilated. Long long wait. Mummie starts to get demoralise as alot of other mummies are being pushed into the delivery suite and started hearing lotsa BB crying.

17th Jan @ 4pm - Mummie is still 4cm dilated only. Mummie cannot stand the pain anymore, decided to go for epidural.

17th Jan @ 5pm - Epidural was adminstered. SHIOK!!! Mummie had to use a oxygen mask as BB's heart beat was dropping. Mummie fell asleep after a tiring afternoon

17th Jan @ 7.30pm - Mummie was pushed to the delivery suite. Still very tired and shivering. BB heart beat is normal already.

17th Jan @ 8.45pm - Nurse checked that BB's head was already at canal, ready for delivery. Call Doc Yvonne immediately.

17th Jan @ 9.45pm - After 5 massive pushes, BB Caleb is born
